This Western flycatcher of the dry country is a regular out here in our neck of the woods. It's predominantly light gray with an orangish belly and dark tail.

HABITAT: A dry-country phoebe, often seen perched on fences or hovering over barren fields. May nest around barns or ranch houses.
IDENTIFYING MARKS: 8"; brownish gray above; grayish throat and breast; cinnamon belly; repeatedly bobs blackish tail.
