HABITAT/BEHAVIOR: Along the Pacific coast, this bird haunts wave-washed rocks and is seldom found where the coast lacks rocky areas. Usually seen in pairs.
IDENTIFYING MARKS: 17 1/2"; All black (browned on back) with oversized red bill, yellow eyes. Juvenile has dark tip on bill.
